And with new Value-Based Licensing, you can instantly access add-on capabilities to take your design data even further.

Click less, do more

Check out our new look and feel with a revamped User Interface (UI) and streamlined workflows. We’ve given our UI a modern update to match the way you work, with intuitive command bars and toolbars, updated personalization options, and improved modeling workflows. Reduce the number of clicks to achieve common workflows, saving time as improvements to Ordered modeling brings Synchronous tools to Ordered users, increasing productivity.

Go further with your design data

New interoperability enhancements unlock the power of your design data while future-proofing your work. Transfer Solid Edge data to and from the Xcelerator portfolio of products, including NX and Process Simulate, easily and accurately. Directly insert SOLIDWORKS, JT, STEP, and Parasolid files (part or assembly) into Solid Edge assemblies without translation.

Leverage design and manufacturing intent seamlessly

Model-Based Definition enhancements give you the tools to detail 3D models faster and easier than ever before. With improved workflows and automatic assistance, your Siemens Digital Industries Software Restricted – Company Confidential. productivity has increased significantly. The new add-on Solid Edge Advanced PMI delivers high-quality consistent dimensioning for downstream PMI applications.

Build the impossible with new manufacturing capabilities

New Multi-Axis Roughing for 5-Axis Machining in Solid Edge CAM Pro provides more efficient material removal while saving you time. A new Rotary Machining Add-on for 4-Axis machining and new Wire EDM functionality improves your ability to create shapes, even those that would otherwise be too expensive or even impossible. The Smart Machine Kits library provides easy access to standardized, professionally built machine simulation kits.

Create technical publications with a faster, more responsive user interface

A new, modern user interface and enhancements to usability, workflows, and animations let you do even more with illustrations and technical documentation. Assign Rich Text Metadata to illustrations and parts that display dynamically. Create custom transitions with pre-defined timing for camera movement, part reveal, part movement, part hide, and other animation features. And define Multiple Master Pages and display visual thumbnails alongside the document.

Get the features you need when you want them with flexible licensing options

Solid Edge Value-Based Licensing allows you to choose the add-on capabilities you want when you need them. This new flexible licensing option, available through a Solid Edge XaaS subscription, gives you instant access to integrated products: Generative Design Pro, Point Cloud Visualization, Electrical Routing, PCB Collaboration, Advanced PMI, Simulation, and Solid Edge XpresRoute. With a flexible token system, mix and match add-on products as needed.

All of these new features and enhancements in Solid Edge 2023, along with many more, were announced during our live premiere on October 12, 2022 @ 10:00 EDT.
